'Desert Echo Women Illuminate the Sacred'
A book of poetry by Jacquelyn Stroud Spier

About the Author:
JACQUELYN STROUD SPIER was born in El Paso into a family who came to the border to escape the 1910 Revolution.

She found her poetic voice in a family where two languages and cultures argued, loved and came to terms with family ritual. This tension finds voice in her poetry and pays homage to ordinary moments in her life.

Her works include Desert Echo, Women Illuminate the Sacred, Crossing, Border Spirits: Espiritulistas and Grandchildren Know Everything.
